Privacy policy

This policy explains what information KCG Sound collects through kcgsound.com, how it's used, and how to get a copy of it or have it deleted. KCG Sound is a sole proprietorship owned by Kerby Gerughty in Los Altos, California ("KCG Sound," "I," "me").

The short version

• I only collect what you type into the quote form or send me by email.
• No cookies, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking.
• I don't sell or share your information for marketing.
• Email sound.kcg@gmail.com to get a copy of your information or have it deleted.

What I collect

Information you give me

When you use the quote form, you provide your name, email address, the service you need, and a description of your project. You can also choose to add an organization, city, and date. If you email me directly, I receive whatever you include in that email.

Please don't send payment card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information through the form or by email.

Information collected automatically

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising tools, and the fonts are hosted on this site rather than loaded from another company. My web host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. I don't use that information to identify you.

How I use it

• To reply to your request, send quotes, and schedule work
• To send invoices and keep business and tax records for jobs
• To protect the site and the form from spam and abuse

I don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it for automated decision-making.

Who else handles it

A few service providers handle information on my behalf so the site and business can run:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from attacks.
• Formspree receives quote form submissions and forwards them to my email.
• Google (Gmail) is where I receive and store email.
• Payment services such as Stripe or Venmo process payments if you pay that way. I don't see or store full card numbers.

Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy. I may also disclose information if required by law.

How long I keep it

Requests that don't turn into a job are deleted within two years. Information tied to a job, such as quotes and invoices, is kept as long as needed for tax and accounting records, generally up to seven years.

Your choices: copies, corrections, and deletion

You can ask me to:

• Send you a copy of the information I have about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information

Email sound.kcg@gmail.com from the address you used to contact me, so I can confirm the request is yours. I'll respond within 30 days. I may need to keep some records, such as invoices, when the law requires it, and I'll tell you if that applies.

California privacy rights

I don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Because this site doesn't track visitors across websites, it doesn't need to respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals differently, and no tracking happens either way.

Children

This site is meant for adults booking services. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child sent information through the form, email me and I'll delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to my email is protected. No method of sending or storing information online is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information by email.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
